Suzan Zeino has always loved painting and drawing. But after setting aside her early aspirations of being an artist to make room for family commitments, she didn’t know where to start. With some help from BiB, Suzan now runs her own business specialising in romantic, personalised portraits. After taking a few photographs of the subject, she designs a composition and colour scheme that will suit the artwork’s surroundings, and paints the portrait using oil on canvas. She also paints pet portraits and wall art, and has been working on a series of modern illustrations and artwork for kids.

Filomena Spagnolo has always loved art. What she didn’t know was how to transform that love into a business reality. The inspiration came when a friend asked her to teach her children the ways of the paintbrush. Weeks later, Filomena had 19 children enrolled in classes, and hasn’t looked back since. Studio Alessia continues to grow, teaching art to 3 to 12 year olds, as well as adults for corporate team-building classes. A qualified interior decorator, Filomena also offers interior styling workshops for all ages.
