“Being part of the Business Babes program was not only an eye opener into the intricacies of the small business world but also a learning curve into self strength. I began the program with many insecurities, but from the first class after introductions, my fears were allayed and were taken over by inspiration. You are encouraged to expand your imagination and creativity, which was the most important part for me. I found that once leaving class every time I had a new idea and was inspired to impart my newfound knowledge on anyone that would listen. 

I have had many business ideas but they were never brought to life because of my fears of failing and self doubt, but on learning from the other mothers and most importantly from our instructor Vicki and our mentor Emma, I found that I was not alone. The program concentrates on building my small business knowledge and what it all involves, but it also allowed me to build the ideas I already have and finely tune them so they become un-jumbled and become a goal I am more than capable of achieving. I have just returned from Vietnam in my quest for clothing manufacturers and baby manchester, and have come back triumphant with samples and connections. If it wasn’t for the abovementioned people for their constant support and encouragement, I think my courage to pursue such an endeavour would not have happened.

The program also enabled me to interact and meet such an array of personalities who, although different, are so supportive of each other’s ideas. That would not have been possible if not for Bizness Babes. I love the program and have been more than an advocate in praising it’s ingenious design but the only problem I had with it was that it wasn’t long enough. Even though the program finished in July, it was not a complete ending at all. We still meet up and continue to support each other. It may have only been a business program but for me it helped me in so many ways that I am grateful I took the first step into changing my life. Being a mother is fulfilling but also to provide for my family by doing something I love is more rewarding.

Thank you Paula, Kerry, Vicki and especially the lovely Emma for this opportunity and in a few months I hope you will be able to see the finished product of the Cot Sock and followed by the Newbies designs range.
