Studio Alessia
“I always wanted to start my own business, but was not sure what avenue to take. I am an artist and have a strong passion for art, and on the other side of the coin I have completed a course in Interior Decoration to which I am also passionate about. I struggled for years concentrating on what to do rather than just getting out there and doing it. Years later things were not going too well for me in my personal life and I knew that now was the right time for me to do something for myself. I was at the doctors one day and was reading an article in the Notebook magazine, I didn’t know it then, but that article changed my life forever. That very day I came home and emailed the lovely Chrissy at the Bizness Babes office explaining to her where I was at in my life and how unhappy I was in my current job. She then registered me for Bizness Babes Group Four. The Bizness Babes classes where fantastic, I found myself with women just the same as me, unsure of the next step. Within the first few weeks I left work and started looking for an office/studio in the Camden Area. While I was setting up my office to conduct DIY Interior Decoration classes a friend of mine asked me if I would be interested in teaching her children art, and desperate for money to pay the rent for my new studio, I could not decline. After three weeks I had 19 students enrolled in my children’s art program. I don’t know where the future will take me, but I have a business plan in place to conduct children’s art classes, birthday parties as well as corporate art classes for corporate team building. I believe I always had this in me but without the help of Chrissy, Paula Vicky Kerry and all the Bizness Babes team, I would be still in a job that I was unhappy with.”
Inspiring words from our happy graduates.
