Posting a blog post quick overview

 

  • Gather assets, images, text, links
  • Login to CMS
  • Upload any images to gallery
  • Add new categories if required
  • Add new post
    • Choose human and SEO friendly title
    • Add thumbnail link if required (can link from gallery)
    • Complete highlight and Body (description sections)
    • Select one or more categories
    • Submit and done!

 

Linking Uploaded Images

To add a thumbnail link
- Add the image to the blog image gallery
- Edit the blog post
- Go to the Thumbnail File field, click the "Open gallery for blog thumbnail images"
- A new window with the Blog Image Gallery will be opened
- Right click on the required image. If you are using Internet Explorer select Properties (it will be the last option in the pop-up menu).  If you are using Chrome select Copy Image URL (other browsers will have similar options).
- If you have selected Properties then the Properties dialog will be displayed. There you will see there you will see the Protocol ,Type ,Address(URL), Size ,Dimensions. Select and copy the Address (full URL) of the image
- Close the Properties dialog and the window with the Blog Image Gallery
- Paste the URL into the Thumbnails field
To get the full sized web image URL
- Open the Blog Image gallery (click the Edit gallery link in the top right of the blog page)
- Click on the image you require
- A larger version of the image will be displayed
- Right click on the image. If you are using Internet Explorer select Properties (it will be the last option in the pop-up menu).  If you are using Chrome select Copy Image URL (other browsers will have similar options).

This is a quick first look at the blog. I may have been moving a bit fast. It went longer then I planned but I don't think I covered verything. So let me know if you have any questions and I will make some more of these for us to use.
